Job Summary:
Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces. Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Plates dishes and completes basic food prepping tasks for a restaurant. Their main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cleaning up prep areas and making sure the kitchen is stocked.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes
and standards - Plating prepared foods
- Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED
• Two to five years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
• ServSafe certification is a plus
• Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
• Familiar with industry best practices
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods standing
• Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately
• Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds
